Principal Functions
To provide scientific books, journals and inter-library loans for the scientific staff of the Dunstaffnage Marine Laboratory.

General Details
The combined library of the Scottish Association for Marine Science and the Dunstaffnage Marine Laboratory contains some 5,000 books, and in the region of 30,000 volumes of journals and reports.

Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA) are available on CD–ROM, and the library subscribes to three sections of Current Contents on diskette.

Availability
The facility is available to other bodies in both the private and public sector. Two weeks advance notice is required when asking for time on the facility.
