Short Historical Statement
The School of Environmental Sciences at UEA was founded in the late 1960's. Although the faculty, with over 40 members, covers a large range of environmental sciences, a significant number are in the marine sciences area. The School was graded 5* in the most recent Research Assessment Exercise (1996).
